Explore the picturesque nature and enjoy breathtaking views of the majestic mountains of the nature park. Start at the historic Ettal Monastery and cross the idyllic Graswang Valley. Run through the mystical Dickelschwaig and finally reach the finish line in Oberammergau, where the finish awaits you beneath the Kofel.

REGISTRATION
Registration for the half marathon is now open. Online registration is available until September 24, 2025. Late registrations are possible on September 27, 2024, directly at the start between 07:30 am and 08:45 am (if not all starting spots are taken).

The half marathon starts in the Ettal Monastery courtyard. The start is at 09:00 am
Only runners with an official bib number are allowed in the start area.
All textiles left in the start area will be collected.

BY CAR
Munich: via the A95 until the end of the motorway and continue towards Oberau. Here, turn right towards Augsburg. After passing the Ettaler Berg, you reach Ettal - the southern gateway to the Ammergauer Alpen Nature Park.
A7: via Seeg, Roßhaupten, Leckbruck to Steingaden. Then towards Garmisch-Partenkirchen on the B23 to Bad Bayersoien in the north of the Ammergauer Alpen Nature Park.
Füssen: Take the route via Steingaden. Then towards Garmisch-Partenkirchen on the B23 to Bad Bayersoien in the north of the nature park.
Innsbruck: Head towards Garmisch-Partenkirchen, then follow the signs to A95 / Munich. In Oberau, turn left towards Augsburg. After passing the Ettaler Berg, you reach Ettal - the southern gateway to the Ammergauer Alpen Nature Park.
BY BUS/RAIL
The Ammergauer Alpen can be easily reached by train from Munich. In Murnau, board the regional train (Ammertalbahn) and after a ride offering fantastic views of the Alps, you'll reach the towns of Bad Kohlgrub, Saulgrub, Altenau, Unterammergau, and Oberammergau.
From Innsbruck, take the train via Garmisch-Partenkirchen to Oberau. Here, transfer to regional buses towards Füssen.
For landlords offering free bus travel, you'll receive your electronic guest card. With this, you can use all regional buses of the Ammergauer Alpen without paying a cent and move around comfortably without parking stress in the region.

- Memmingen (ALLGÄU AIRPORT MEMMINGEN/FMM), distance approx. 80km

CLOTHING BAG, TRANSPORT & SHOWERS
The clothing bags will be transported free of charge from the start to the finish and handed out there. Clothing bags can be purchased on-site or in the online shop. Clothing bags must be deposited by 10:00 am in the start area.
Showers are provided free of charge in the finish area.
AWARDS & AWARD CEREMONY
Places 1 - 3 M/W overall ranking + age group ranking (the age group winners will receive their prize by mail)
Each participant receives a medal and a starter pack
The award ceremony takes place around 12:00 pm at the Oberammergau Sports Center (finish)

Participants who have not yet reached the age of 18 on race day must provide a declaration of consent from their legal guardians at the bib number distribution or send it via email.
By registering, each participant agrees that sound and image recordings will be made. They also grant permission for the recordings to be used for the organizer's public relations work without limitation in terms of time, space, and content.
All participants take part in the event solely at their own risk. They bear sole civil and criminal responsibility for all damages caused by them. By registering, participants waive any right to take action or recourse against all those involved in the organization of the event, in particular against the organizers, their representatives and helpers, the owner(s) of the land and buildings used for the event, the operator of the route used for the event, and their representatives and helpers, for any accidents or damages suffered in connection with the event. The use of walking sticks and the presence of dogs are not allowed!
It is expressly pointed out once again that participants are ordinary road users. The road traffic regulations apply in full in public traffic spaces.
In the case of registration of minor participants, the legal representatives agree to participation and the conditions of this announcement. In the case of teams, the sender of the registration is considered the contact person and accepts the conditions of this announcement on behalf of all participants.
This agreement becomes effective for all parties involved upon submission of the registration.
